Organ vs. Piano
Two Kings of Musical Instruments – On One Stage The organ has the power to fill an entire church with sound. The piano, by contrast, reveals the finest nuances of music. They rarely share the same concert programme, which is precisely what makes this evening so special. At the organ – Ilona Birgele. At the piano – Roksana Tarvide. Rather than a competition, this is a dialogue between two musicians and two remarkable instruments, each offering its own unique perspective on familiar masterpieces. The programme features music by Bach, Reger, Franck, Liszt, Chopin, Mendelssohn, and other great composers. Some works will be performed on the organ, others on the piano, allowing the audience to discover how differently the same world of classical music can be expressed through each instrument. The historic setting of St. Paul's Church, together with carefully designed lighting and visual elements, will complement the performance while keeping the focus where it belongs – on the music. We invite you to spend this memorable evening with us.
