BOLERO – An Organ Concert of Classical Music Winter is the season when we crave warmth the most. That is why we invite you to BOLERO – a concert inspired by the passion, rhythm and irresistible energy of Spain, from Bizet's Carmen to Ravel's iconic Boléro. BOLERO is an evening alive with rhythm. The celebrated Habanera from Carmen, Ravel's Boléro, Pascual Marquina's famous pasodoble España Cañí, and Márquez's exhilarating Danzón No. 2 are among the works featured in this vibrant programme. Instantly recognisable from their opening bars, these masterpieces reveal fresh colours and new perspectives with every performance. The music seems to dance, drawing the listener into its constantly shifting pulse. Performed by organ, strings and percussion, the programme combines the richness and dramatic impact of an orchestra with the intimacy of chamber music, allowing every musical line and colour to emerge with exceptional clarity. The setting is an essential part of the experience. Beneath the soaring Neo-Gothic vaults of St Paul's Church, surrounded by hundreds of candles and carefully designed visual projections, the music unfolds in an atmosphere unlike that of a traditional concert hall. Concert duration: approximately 1 hour 20 minutes. * Musicians are located in the stalls, in front of the altar.
