CINEMA – A Film Music Concert with Organ Great films are unimaginable without great music. Many of these scores have long since transcended the screen. Today, they are performed in concert halls around the world and have earned their place in the modern classical repertoire. The CINEMA programme brings together music by some of the greatest film composers of the 20th and 21st centuries, including Ennio Morricone (The Professional, The Mission), Nino Rota (The Godfather), John Williams (Schindler's List, Fiddler on the Roof), Raimonds Pauls (The Long Road in the Dunes), alongside other iconic scores that have become enduring classics of world cinema. Performed by organ, violin, cello and percussion, the programme reveals these celebrated soundtracks in a fresh light. The organ is both a commanding solo instrument and the foundation of the ensemble, creating the richness and scale of an orchestral sound while preserving the clarity and intimacy of chamber music. Set within the historic interior of St Paul's Church, enhanced by atmospheric lighting and carefully designed visual projections, the concert offers a new perspective on music that has become as timeless as the films themselves. Concert duration: approximately 1 hour 20 minutes. * Musicians are located in the stalls, near the altar.
